Thank you so much, Ernesto, for you lovely words! This place indeed exceeds all expectations. I have been to Rom / Roma, Ostia and Pompeji before, so was kind of "prepared". Yet these temples are so dominant and huge, they breathe still some of the old glory and power of the ancient empires. It is overwhelming and it is not to understand that it is not as famous worldwide as it should be. But this has the advantage that you can really savor the moment you standing in front of those giants ALONE (at least for a moment).
